I began painting and studying art in 1990 after I retired. As a native of Florida I grew up loving the sea, marshes, savannas and quiet coves and lagoons that still exist in this tropical paradise. My main themes alternate from seascapes, flora, and people. 

I paint generally in oil and acrylic. I like to capture “the moment and a sense of place” in my paintings. The interplay of light (sunrise to sunset) excites me and painting the subject fulfills the love I have of the environment. I have painted aboard my boat "Tiger Lily," a 36 foot trawler, as my husband and I cruised Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas.
